Products
Below are some common questions about our products
In the Dominican Republic.
Our fi ne, organic cacao is sourced from Zorzal - a leading provider of fi ne fl avor cacao, who also happens to be a bird sanctuary. Zorzal owns farms in the Dominican Republic, where they explore new varietals and immerse in the study of fermentation and drying; they have unique relationships with artisan chocolate makers across the globe that advice them on fl avor development, thus creating a truly unique dried cacao with a fantastic fl avor profile.
Once we have our dry beans, we process it into semi-fi nished and fi nished goods at our factory. Our manufacturing facility is certifi ed organic and is located in Nigua Free Zone, Dominican Republic, so all of our products are made in the DR!
Our cocoa beans are carefully fermented and dried, and brought to our facility located in Nigua Free Zone, DR. The cacao is then transformed into fi ne paste, couverture, powder and butter, perfectly roasted, conched and blended with unique fl avors for you to enjoy. INARU strives to keep the transformation of goodness as close to the source as possible.
Even some of the beautiful packaging that surrounds your chocolate is made in the Dominican Republic. We are honored to deliver our products, the results of our valued employees, farmers, suppliers and partners, to you.
INARU products are vegan, certifi ed organic, gluten free, soy free and lecithin free. They’re all made in a facility that handles nuts and fennel seeds.
It depends on each particular product; generally, bars have a shelf life of 12-18 months and cocoa rounds have a shelf life of 18-24 months.
Please keep in mind that all INARU products must be stored in a cool and dry place; ideal temperature ranges from 64 to 74° F, depending on each particular product. But in general, if it’s safe from heat, moisture, humidity and if it’s kept indoors, your INARU product is probably at its best.
Yes, and more. INARU is a regenerative business. INARU partners with organic farmers, funds regenerative transitions, profi t shares with producers and pays a premium price above market standards. INARU cacao is tested for heavy metals, and we invest in its future safety through regenerative interventions.
Financial opportunity for those who care for the land is one of the most proactive positions an impact business can take. INARU's chocolates have a much lower carbon footprint due to in-country processing and production. This reduces the food miles and fuel resources it takes to transform the fi nest cacao into the richest chocolate.
INARU is always seeking ways to improve its regenerative presence, and delivering the highest quality, and highest empathy product to discerning customers like you.
